There are two powerful engine options available for the Ford F-550, including the standard 7.3-liter V8 gas engine, or the 6.7-liter Power Stroke® V8 turbo diesel. The turbo diesel includes standard equipment like diesel engine-exhaust braking, DEF tank level gauge, and operator-commanded regeneration. Expertly tuned for consistent heavy towing and hauling, the F-500 chassis cab can handle up to 34,500 pounds of towing capacity and haul up to 12,370 pounds, depending on the configuration.
